Hello All, The attached image is of river road directly across the commercial entrance to Boltens pitt. The yellow line indicates a rough path to the proposed council ring site... its in a hard wood stand and follows a class 6 logging road 3/4 of the way down. Some small obstacles to get to the final location exist as this is not yet developed into our official location. Parking exists along the road and off to the left as you enter Boltens pitt and if we open the gate most cars and suvs can park in first couple of hundred feet of the trail head. Parking should be best judgment and no one should park where they have a fear of getting stuck. This site is @ 10 to 15 minutes from the road. I think this portion of river road has a posted speed limit of 40MPH but I have seen lots of speeders on it. Extra caution should always be used on all road crossings. Hi, I will let Rob give you the directions, as he is better with that kind of thing... Also, just as an FYI, since you cancelled your last Pack Committee meeting due to the snow, Jason was unable to interview as a Den Chief. Chuck had Jason work with the Webelos last Sunday, though. Jason enjoyed it. You can ask Chuck if he is happy with his involvement. Diane On Mar 5, 2012, at 2:19 PM, Giff wrote: I will send an email alerting the other leaders of the plan. Where is the council ring? Giff colburn Diane Da Costa <jajus100@me.com> wrote: Hi, I know we have talked a little, but I just wanted to formally make sure the Pack knew they were invited to our "Council Ring" on March 22 at 6:00 p.m. The Scouts will be working on dutch oven cooking, so the Cubs are more than welcome to also cook... This is all good preparation for the Chuck Wagon. In addition, there will be Scouts there to help the Cub Scouts go over some of their skills as you requested. Let us know what in particular you would like the Scouts to focus on... Thanks, Diane
